With only three weeks until the start of the season my thoughts on the pre season certainly have a certain amount of optimism which was boosted on Saturday with the fact that Moffy confirmed he was staying at the club , the first sight of the new signing James Ford and Crowie returning from injury. Our squad size certainly looks a lot healthier than it did at this time last year boosted by new signings and the return of Chris Hancox, Phil Richardson, Mikey Hammond, Rob Christian and Stu Woodward. The possible loss of Johnny Holland to St Marys does not now seem as major a problem as first thought. The commitment to training so far has been first rate and lets hope this is maintained during the cold wet winter months.

The 5-0 win over Douglas Royals demonstrated the gulf between the Premier League and the second division and as said by the players after the game a level of football that this club does not want to go back to. All in all PROMISING with a taint of CAUTION.
