With only the friendly match for Perksie, Crowie and Quinny preseason is over. How has it gone????? Training has been well attended and all players have worked hard and it is clear that fitness levels have improved dramatically. The preseason matches havent gone too bad either apart from the drubbing by St Marys which was down to changing the team at half time and players having to play in both the combi and first team game. If you look at the other three matches the centre back pairing of Stu and Dave have only conceded one goal in 270 minutes of football. The new signings have added depth and strength to the squad and more particularly Louis should with a few more matches give us a real cutting edge up front. It was also very pleasing that Moffy had his first run out for the combi on Wednesday and he will certainly be a big plus over the coming months. The paundits all say that we are certs for relegation but I am sure the Michael trenches that we will dig over August and September will ensure that we are not in trouble by the half way stage. It is very annoying and disapointing that some  players are unavailabe during periods of August and September (Hurty, Gaz, Kev, Dave, Minge, Fordy, Ben, Corlett, Raj) but I am sure that those who will play will look at it as a massive chance to establish themselves in the first team. Work hard lads, adopt the Michael spirit and we will make those paundit w-------ers eat their words and lets make sure we give them a hard time throughout the season.
