"please note that before training on Tuesday's we go for a run around the upper tier of the QE2 field. It is part of the training session, just as the beach run was in pre-season and the road run was when we first went to the astro. I altered the road run to the grass as people were complaining that the road was too harsh on their joints, but numbers have dropped off recently to the extent that only 10 or 11 were on the run on Tuesday. There should be no excuses, other than genuine ones, for not turning up 25 minutes before we take to the astro at 7.30. Fitness levels are vital so please make an effort."
